Mom came home from work early yesterday to bring Dad to his doctor's appointment.

Shortly before they came back home, the smoke alarm went off. I went into the basement to see what was going on, and the oil burner was leaking fumes that seeped up into the main part of the house. Called Mom, and she and Dad ordered me to stay outside until the house was aired out enough.

Dad went on to shut the burner down to look at it, and had to have a repairman come over to inspect it as well.
