Well, here we are!
Feb. 6th, 2023 05:46 amThis past week, I had started looking for new ROMhackers. At first, I wasn't going to, because I wanted to maintain focus on Starbound while we were still home, but then I figured that in case anything goes wrong, I could probably show things to Brian or Marie as long as we're all together.
I provided everything to choose from that I am currently interested in, and found one person who seems promising so far. One person stated Persona as his favorite series amongst what I offered, but asked if I had any preferences. I let him choose Persona 2 at first, stating that I am done seeking the Earthbound trilogy so specifically and did not wish to play favorites, but then he told me he'd be more familiar with older games still, having experience already with the Game Boy Advance. I gave him the Earthbound trilogy after all, asked him if he'd have any preferences there, and then gave him Earthbound after he let me decide.
I removed my listings two days ago, for before we head out, just so that we could have a nice time out. (Having just heard back from him two hours before I woke up this morning, I found out that Upwork is rather tiny on my laptop, and that gives me all the more reason to suspend these endeavors until we're back home, when I am not even interested in seeking new applicants on this thing for something fanart-related.)
-----
While sorting things out before we'd leave, Mom asked me up in the apartment if there is rainwater in this garbage bin on the deck. Turned out it was all frozen, and I proceeded to dump it onto the brick path between the garage and boathouse below, just to see it shatter.
-----
Brian and Emily, along with Uncle Robby, were already at the house we're currently staying at when our flight landed. We waited just for Marie and Drew.
It was another hour or so before we'd reach the house, including a stop at this Cuban restaurant called Las Palmas.
And so, here we are in Vero Beach, Florida, in what's actually two houses connected by a small network of walkways.
