Jun. 11th, 2023 06:24 amNormally, I have a snack right after finishing lunch, and then a nap. Two days ago, I decided first to take care of a few things online, but then Mom called me down to come to the gym with her if I was still planning to.
Mom usually mixes some Greek yogurt with blueberries (sometimes some other fruit along with honey) for protein when we come home from the gym, and boils some tea to go with it. My tea was still hot when I finished my yogurt, and I brought it upstairs to have a slice of chocolate-iced pound cake, what I didn't get to have before we left, while it cools down. It ended up cooling down just enough anyway while I jotted some stuff down on Google Docs instead.
And, that should make up somewhat for when I decided later to make myself a sundae for dessert to celebrate my new job, instead of defaulting to the usual fudge pop or Keto bar.

Yesterday, we had some errands to run. Mom found a different barber shop to drop me off at before heading to Lowes, picked me up before heading to Meat Farms, and then the library.
And we passed the very store I'll soon be working at in-between those last two stops. (Not that we don't every now and then already.)

Brian and Emily came to visit shortly after we returned home, before spending the night at Emily's parents' house. I told them about my new job while they were in the living room with Dad.
We also got someone else's copy of The Week along with our own. Mom and I have yet to label that misdelivered before putting it back in the mailbox. (I did look the address up online, and it turns out to be just eight minutes away from here, but Mom wasn't inclined to drive all the way up Bellport Road and then turn around, and also told us that we wouldn't be allowed anyway, even just on the premises, into what is a condominium where it's located.)
