May. 11th, 2026 05:41 amTwo days ago, while I was helping Mom with yet more yardwork, she spotted a Uhaul truck turn into Masem Court, and asked me to see if it might've been for Nick and Tiffany, or else who would be on their way out. Confirmed as much.

I have recently started brewing some coffee for Mom each morning that I get up early, when she originally specifically asked for some. Yesterday, I got up at around 3:30, but she decided she wasn't ready for some and told me just to have it. At the last moment, though, I thought she changed her mind and asked me to leave it (can't remember what she actually said), but more than an hour later, she asked for a cup then and asked why I didn't have that previous cup. Even after having already had some instant coffee with some Morning Summit she bought the other day, I simply re-heated that cup in the microwave while boiling some new coffee in the mocha pot like that cup.

The other day, Mom decided to send the Mother's Day card I originally got for Emily to Aunt Allison instead.
Yesterday, I had an interview at a deli in Holtsville, and Mom decided to tie Walmart in with that for a new card for Emily among other things.
Saw Robert inside the pharmacy entrance where I used to work, and updated him about my job hunt, mentioning most notably that I had been rejected by FedEx recently due to an availability mismatch. (Didn't want him thinking that that was basically a done deal for me.)
(I actually got a second offer beforehand, and later got two more within eight minutes, rejected immediately after responding.)
Didn't find any Mother's Day sister cards (specifically my sister-in-law, despite not having actually married Brian), and went over to the bakery where Mom planned on getting meringues. She rung me back to greeting cards, and we deduced that there were actually two Mother's Day sections there, because she found something I didn't even see.
