dmxratedWent to Costco with Mom yesterday afternoon before we hit the gym. On the way there, she told me about something she heard on the radio about how iconic food tends to be in manga. Will probably have to google that with her when she comes home from work, since she only caught the last ten minutes of it, but Puella Magi Kazumi Magica lines right up, and so does my old proposed trope for food in video games.

Back at home, I managed to deduce with Mom and Dad's help that it was coming home from Planting Fields Arboretum and Old Westbury Gardens on April 10, 1999, that we ate out at Royal Oak Diner. Dad, however, wasn't that crazy about it, though, because we were all put into the back and it just felt kinda depressing to him.

A deviantArt promotion came up yesterday offering three free months of Core Membership for buying three by default. I thought to spend my points to buy some for Chelle, but failed to read it carefully enough and ended up buying only one month's worth with no bonus.
Well, I'm sure she'd appreciate it anyway, and it's not like I have much use for points to begin with.

Still have yet to discuss the Cibus project with someone (anyone) in order to focus on characters not related to Starbound or even Lucky Star itself. It does help, though, that Chelle is already onto shading the cover image's protagonist lineup before getting started with the background and Ivo, and that I finally know what to do with the next chapter whenever I so decide to continue writing the fic.
While I was originally planning to continue May's next chapter of Parasitic Trio (would still like to move that along when the weather really cools down), I've found myself thinking these past few days about the work I've recently put into designing text. Just yesterday, I've downloaded this pack of various fonts and created a WordPad file for Year Is 199X. Today, I'm going to focus on designing characters for all three Japanese writing systems. Might download Mother 2 itself onto my laptop in order to establish a template for that.
