To start with, while I actually started over from right after the Reconstructed Caribou fight, the second half of chapter 1 from there was all I managed to play through two days ago, and it came out to an hour for reasons I will get into soon. I had an interview scheduled at Costco for 3:15, Mom wanted to get me a haircut between coming home from work and arriving to that appointment, and I did not wish to squeeze the even longer entirety of chapter 2 between my midday nap and her arrival home, or to end up playing beforehand on an empty stomach just one hour before I normally have lunch.

Yesterday was when I played through chapter 2, and wound up obtaining two Nuts in total across a total of five visits to Thomas' Bazaar, and decided to hit Sunshine Forest for one more to have Caroline combine into Nut Bread. During my time over there, I attempted to access the main area, something I was already planning to do during chapter 3, and there turns out to be the same trail of ants that blocks you from leaving Alec's frontyard in the very beginning or accessing Argilla Pass before very late in the game.

I must have misread something by Google AI the other day. The reason that first new recording took so long is because, even though I don't actually intend to complete the game itself this time, I still intend to get the full experience out of it by viewing all enemies' back sprites up to my intended point, given how some enemies practically exist for the sole purpose of the Battle Memory. One enemy only Flint has access to, the Flying Mouse, can only be ambushed by running away first, and even that's awkward to pull off, and unlike Duster and Salsa, Flint has no means of turning enemies around instead.

Deactivating the trail of ants for chapters 2 and 3 is one change I now intend to implement early, even without everything else already on my agenda for that game. Not only would I find that only fair to players, but to do so would allow me to create a much shorter recording of chapter 1, part 2/2, whose purpose is to demonstrate for later on how Duster's non-equipped items disappear when you take control of him for chapter 2.

With that, today's agenda is going to begin with Mother 3 Funland.

Mom had a doctor's appointment at 2, at this clinic called Northwell Health that opened up near Walmart recently. I went with her to grab an early dinner at Southpaw Brewing Company for the first time since I quit Walmart. Ordered some gnocchi short-rib ragu that I had planned on when things first came up, and then went to Starbucks for an iced shaken horchata espresso for dessert.

Should've chewed the ice in that drink to cool my teeth off, and it's a good thing we bagged some ice back at home to pack with a La Croix and a water bottle, for after a subsequent walk on the beach. Had some of that instead, and Mom also wanted a cube or two.

Upon arriving at the beach parking lot, we spotted a helicopter on the pavement, with its propellors still spinning. Mom inferred that to be keeping the mosquitos at bay.

Upon arriving at the beach, we also spotted a young live horseshoe crab in the water. Mom took a picture of that to share on Signal.

Mom had also seen a tiny drone before we actually parked, but I missed that. I did get to see it inside this tunnel leading back into the parking lot, though, when its owner took it out some distance behind us.
