Jan. 10th, 2008 05:51 amFuyuki's Hot Night seems to have attracted quite an audience on DeviantArt. I have at least one person each day (on most days anyway) adding it to their Favorites Archive. This morning, I found out that sprk-77 has added the fic, both of Ellen's pics, and Bikini Girl Rockna to their Favorites archive.
If there's any downside to this, though, it's that most of the DA members who add any of the aforementioned works to their lists enjoy breasts and butts way bigger than in most fanservice-based anime (e.g. Divergence Eve, Grenadier, or Sailor & the Seven Ballz). I'm glad I'm not the only person who doesn't enjoy excessive breast expansion. For example, when I spoke to Martin, he said that even though he's not a BE fan to begin with, he doesn't mind looking at such pics, as long as they're not what he also described as "super-insanely huge". Someone besides me who draws BE but at a reasonable level would happen to be Jessica Elwood. She never added any of my pics to her favorites archive; I found one of her pics on DeviantArt's main page once, looked through her gallery, and added her to my Friends archive.
Okay, so I don't enjoy excessive breast expansion. Of course, very few people are going to like Big Coneshaped Nose (my pic of Hikari/Mai/whatever-you-want-to-call-her*), and even fewer people are going to enjoy seeing the cute, cone-nosed girl giving Baby Mario a diaper change. In any case, I do enjoy having people add my pics to their Favorites archives or posting reviews, because it shows that people actually appreciate my hard work. Maybe sometime soon, I'll work on another pic, whether it be refining Nozomi's pic, getting started with Fuyuki Hinata naked, or fulfilling Jake's request for Delia Ketchum as she'd appear in Ellen's fic.
(*Even though the girl's name is actually Mai, I've still been calling her Hikari on this blog to avoid confusion among readers. Honestly, I prefer Mai, because it's cuter and much less cliche than Hikari. Mai is the name of the main character from the original Makeruna Makendou; Hikari is her blue-haired sister who was the main character from Makeruna Makendou 2: Kimero Youkai Souri.)

Putting artwork aside, another noteworthy thing about yesterday was the Angry Video Game Nerd's new video, Chronologically Confused About Zelda. I can relate to the Legend of Zelda series quite well. The two most important Zelda games in my life were Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (on the Super NES) and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (on the Nintendo 64). I played both those games a lot during 7th grade (one of the most nolstalgic years of my life). The latter game, in my opinion, was one of the last classic games on the N64 (the other two/three being Banjo-Kazooie, Snowboard Kids 2, and maybe Wonder Project J2), which itself was the last classic console of my life. Several years later, I came up with ideas for a completely new Zelda game to make in the future... or more acurately, two versions of a new game: one based on A Link to the Past, and the other based on Ocarina of Time. It would take place in an entirely new/different version of Hyrule (which "splittists" believe most Zelda games already do). Of course, since I'm most likely never going to be making any video games myself, these ideas will probably only be made into a fanfic (if they ever are materialized at all).
