Some funny coincidences...
Apr. 18th, 2018 05:41 amTwo days ago, Mom left me a note asking me to clean the top drawers in the kitchen. I took that to mean the upper pantry drawers, and cleaned those instead. She cleared things up after bringing it up while thanking me for wiping something else down that needed a once-over, and asked me to take care of the ones she actually meant the next day.
Said next day being yesterday, she stayed home from work, but I wound up helping Dad instead to clean up pine brush from this past winter. He had me load branches into his van that he had parked underneath the pine trees lining Masem Court, and then asked me to fill our recycle buckets with the smaller stuff. He actually said the "small cans", but I instead started with our two remaining worn-out garbage cans, and then our four remaining newer ones which are small-er after he emphasized the word "small". All our recycle buckets were full anyway, but he explained that what he actually wanted was to be able to take some mulch home from the landfill after we get rid of the branches. We ended up taking one of the old cans and two of the new ones, and filled the latter two partway w/ mulch before heading back home.
After we came home, Dad had me load his van again with more branches that we will drop off this morning. While I was busy with that, the garbagemen came for a brush pickup. At first, I assumed they were picking up our recycling (which they do on Wednesdays, but I wasn't thinking about what day it was), but then Mom called out from the backdoor for me to bring the rest of the cans to them to empty. (Perfect timing for having filled any cans up. She, too, was lucky to have noticed and thought quick enough after wondering why they were here again when they usually come for garbage before dawn.)

Still no spoons left to come back to Disgaea 5. I had already tried out Super Mario Odyssey as well at one point (the reason I went on to hook the Switch up to my TV), and it failed to hold my interest.
Managed early yesterday morning to hook the Nintendo 64 up right alongside the Switch, and got in one round of Getter Love!! before I went on to help Dad out. (Won Ayumi's Love Love ending. Also a good thing I've finally gotten someone new on Unwilling Service, Jake's departure being the reason I stopped playing after only two days for months since.)
Later on, Mom suggested anyway I hook the Switch up to our much larger main TV when Brian's here. (And I originally considered it impractical to swap systems if I'd supposedly have to swap them back again, but then decided to anyway just to clear my head before I come back to Ellen's chapter.)
